A full-service condemnation practice, we provide client-focused representation in the following matters:

Eminent Domain and Condemnation

We represent individuals and businesses when the government seeks to take their private property for public or private use. We also represent individuals who are dealing with inverse condemnation, regulatory takings and extraction issues. We help ensure that the taking is legal and that you receive the just compensation you are owed for the taking of your property. Visit our Eminent Domain and Condemnation page for more information.

Relocation Claims After Your Property Has Been Taken

We work with individuals and businesses when there has been a complete taking of their property, helping them obtain the benefits and compensation that they are entitled to under the federal Uniform Relocation Act. For more information, see our Relocation Claims page.

Real Estate and Business Transactions

When businesses are forced to relocate due to eminent domain or condemnation proceedings, we can guide them through the related real estate and business law issues that arise, including the negotiation, review and preparation of real estate purchase agreements and leases, and the drafting of any necessary business documents. In addition, we represent clients in these matters independent of any eminent domain proceedings. To learn more, see our Real Estate and Business Transactions page.

Municipal Code Matters

If you are corporation, developer, business owner, investor or other property owner who has been charged with a municipal code violation, make sure you understand your rights. With extensive experience with Chicago building code enforcement, attorney Lynch knows "how the other side thinks" and can effectively represent you in your code violation matter. If addition, if you are dealing with any other municipal matter, including licensing or compliance, or are seeking status as a minority-owned business, we can provide you skilled guidance through the applicable administrative process.
