Knowledgeable Representation In Property Acquisition And Eminent Domain Matters

The Law Office of Bryan P. Lynch, P.C., is one of the few firms with an established and experienced eminent domain practice. Our firm represents businesses and individuals in a broad range of property rights matters, including eminent domain, condemnation, relocation, and commercial real estate and business transactions. Led by experienced eminent domain lawyer Bryan Lynch, we are confident that our experience will be an asset to you to help ensure you receive the compensation you deserve.

Attorney Bryan Lynch brings over 18 years of legal experience to business and property owners in Chicago and the Collar counties. A former assistant corporation counsel for the city of Chicago in the Department of Law and Assistant Commissioner of the Department of Buildings, he was responsible for the city’s Demolition Bureau, Mayor Daley’s Fast Track Program, and building code enforcement. With extensive experience in how government deals with real estate development and public works issues, he has a great deal of insight into how properties are chosen for condemnation and how compensation levels are negotiated.

After his municipal government service, Lynch joined the private sector, focusing on representing property owners in government takings matters and eventually leading a national law firm’s Chicago-area eminent domain practice. The perspective he has gained from both his government and private sector experience provides him with a unique range of practical knowledge and skill in the areas of eminent domain, condemnation, relocation claims, and real estate and business law, which has proven valuable for business and individual clients alike. Contact us today, and let Bryan Lynch’s unique blend of substantial experience in both public and private sectors work for you to protect your property rights and secure the money you are entitled to under the law.

A full-service condemnation practice, we provide client-focused representation in the following matters:

Eminent Domain And Condemnation

We represent businesses and individuals when the government seeks to take their property for public or private use. We fight to protect your property rights, and also to ensure you receive the just compensation you deserve for the taking of your property and for any loss in the value of the property remaining. We also represent businesses and individuals who believe the government has illegally taken their property, situations which may involve inverse condemnation, a regulatory taking or exaction. Visit our eminent domain and condemnation page for more information.

Relocation Claims After Your Property Has Been Taken

Firm Overview

We work with businesses and individuals when the government has completely taken and displaced them from their property. We represent them to secure the benefits and compensation to move and reestablish themselves at a new property, which they are entitled to under the federal Uniform Relocation Act. For more information, see our relocation claims page.

Real Estate And Business Transactions

When businesses are forced to relocate due to eminent domain or condemnation proceedings, we can guide them through the related real estate and business law issues that arise, including the negotiation, review and preparation of real estate purchase agreements and leases, and the drafting of necessary business agreements and filings. We also represent clients in these matters independent of any eminent domain proceedings. To learn more, see our real estate and business transactions page.

Municipal Code Matters

If you are corporation, developer, business owner, investor or other property owner who has been charged with a municipal code violation, make sure you understand your rights. With extensive experience in building code enforcement, attorney Bryan Lynch knows “how the other side thinks” and can effectively represent you in your code violation matter. It is also not unusual for the government to cite property owners for code violations while pursuing condemnation of the same property.
